The Union Church Playgroup offers a spacious, friendly place for children to play with one another while enjoying a loosely structured program of supervised free play. Playgroup is for toddlers and preschoolers and their parent or caregiver. We run morning groups on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Our 3s and 4s group is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The space is open, colorful, and child-focused, and features areas for both imaginative and physical play. Centers include block play, sand table, dress-up, kitchen/housekeeping area, play house and pirate ship, puppet theater, chalkboard, drawing easel, doll house, books, puzzles and more. Children enjoy a weekly story, craft and fingerplay along with musical instruments and a provided snack.

Playgroup runs three 10-12-week sessions in fall, winter and spring, and a 6-week summer program.. Please contact Jen Kruger at 718-745-0438 for questions concerning our current schedule, fees and availability.

We are located downstairs in the Union Church (corner of 80th Street and Ridge Boulevard).

Who       Playgroup is for toddlers and preschoolers with a caretaker.

When    Two-hour program held weekly on weekdays, as follows

               Mondays or Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

               Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:30 am – 11:30 am. 

               3s and 4s Playgroup meets on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. 

               10, 11, and 12-week sessions depending on holidays, etc.

               register for one day per week up to four days per week

Cost                 $175.00 - $192.50 - $210.00 per child for each session

                          based on calendar schedule of 10, 11, or 12 weeks. 

                          Sibling and additional day discounts offered

                          A $10 (one time yearly) Additional Registration Fee applies.

Refunds          Full refund one week before session begins. 

                          Half refunded after session begins. 

                          No refund after 2nd week of session.

Make-ups        are flexible and allowed within the same session.
